各位親愛的家長:

 

教育是慈濟四大志業之一,慈濟的教育理念除了學習中文外,最重要的是培育下一代的生活倫理道德觀念,成立人文學校。人文教育就是人與人之間應有的互相尊重、愛與關懷。我們不僅希望孩子們在語文方面奠下紮實根基,並且盼望孩子在人文教育薰陶下,學習如何做個有愛心的人,以回饋社會。

 開學日期:08/23/2020 (日)

 上課地點:1100 S. Valley Center Ave., San Dimas, CA 91773。

 學校班級:幼中班~高年級。

 入學年齡:08/16/20滿4歲,18歲以下。

 錄取方式:依報名註冊手續全部完成之先後次序優先錄取。

 

學雜費用:(以年度計算,不可抵稅)

1. 學費/才藝費用:$530.00。

2. 新生報名費用:$30.00。

 

制服費用:

1. 夏季上衣$15.00,冬季長袖上衣$16.00,慈濟書包$26.00,必須在學校購買。

2. 深藍色卡其長褲,請自行在Kohl's, Target, Walmart…等處購買。

 

上課時間: 每週日09:00 am ~ 12:30 pm。

課程規劃: 一節人文課、一節才藝課及兩節語文課。

語文課程: 採用美洲華語教材。

才藝課程: 課程仍在規劃中,依開學正式公佈為準。課程可能包括:茶道、花道、環保藝術、生活藝園、手語、繪畫、雕塑、戲劇親子烹飪等。

班級人數: 每班以25人為限,至少10人才開班,學生人數不足或其他因素需考量時,學校有權決定不開班。

新生測驗: 除了幼中及注拼音班級學生外,所有新生均需參加「程度測驗」,考試日期將另行通知。

家長注意事項:

1. 學校將藉由電郵、簡訊、或電話錄音等方式公告每週學校信息。

2. 敬請家長踴躍參與本校各項人文活動,如:家長說明會、開學典禮、家長/老師座談會、新春活動、大堂人文精神課、浴佛節/三節合一、結業典禮。

3. 由於新學年度許多課程需要課前和課後的協助,每一堂課需要有隨堂志工,因此每位學生家長將實踐3次全天到校的志工時數,請家長們在註冊時填寫適合志工登記日期表到校。

報名方式:

1. 必須繳交以下文件:

o 2020-2021 學生報名表。

o 責任豁免暨就醫授權書。

o 志工時數登記表。

o 學雜費用:現金或支票,抬頭:Tzu Chi Academy,請註明學生姓名及班級。

(學費/才藝費$530.00 + 新生報名費$30.00)制服支票另外開。

o 制服費用:現金或支票抬頭:Tzu Chi Academy。

(夏季上衣$15.00,冬季長袖上衣$16.00,慈濟書包$26.00)

F 舊生:05/16/2020 (06/30/2020以後報名視同新生,必須繳交$30報名費)。

F 新生:05/30/2020 。

l 收件日期:自05/24/2020 至 08/16/2020止。

退學與退費辦法:

1. 退費處理程序約為三至四週,報名費$30.00恕不退回。

l 08/23/2020(開學日前) 以前退學,學費及才藝費用全額退回,需扣除手續費$30.00後退款。

l 09/27/2020(開學六週) 以前退學,學費及才藝費用之百分之七十五,需扣除手續費$30.00後退款。

l 12/20/2020(上學期結束) 以前退學,學費及才藝費用之百分之四十,需扣除手續費$30.00後退款。

l 12/20/2020(上學期結束) 以後退學,將不接受任何退費申請。

2. 勒令退學者,不得申請退費。

3. 凡學生無故曠課達三次,將視為自動退學,恕不退費。

4. 退費需於退學前兩週,提交書面申請表至本校辦公室辦理。

Dear Parents:

Education, as one of the four missions of Tzu Chi Foundation, is not just about teaching Chinese but, more importantly, about character-building and nurturing ethical values (kindness, compassion, joy and selfless-giving). Our objective is to help students develop a respect for life and to nurture their faith in human nature. Having such values will enable them to make a positive contribution to society.

First day of school: 08/16/2020 (Sunday).

Location: 1100 S. Valley Center Ave., San Dimas, CA 91773.

Classes: Pre-K through Higher Grade.

Age of admission: By 08/16/20, 4 to 18 years old.

Enrollment: Determined by the order of complete registration.

 

Tuition and Fees (Per Annum Basis, Not Tax Deductible):

1. Tuition and Extra Curriculum Fees: $530.00.

2. Registration fee for new students: $30.00.

 

Uniform Fees

1. Summer $15.00. Winter $16.00. Tzu Chi backpack $26.00. Please purchase at school.

2. Navy Blue Khaki trousers may be purchased at stores such as Kohl’s, Target or Walmart.

 

Class Schedule: Sunday 09:00am - 12:30pm.

Curriculum: All students have two periods of Chinese classes, one period of Humanity class, and one period of extra curriculum class.

Class Size: There will be a maximum of 25 students per class. For a class to commence, a minimum of 10 students is required. If the minimum number is not reached, or for any other reason, the school reserves the right to cancel a class.

Placement Test: All new students (first grade and above) need to take a placement test. Further notification of test dates will be provided later.

Chinese Curriculum: Use Mei Zhou Chinese as textbook.

Extra Curriculum: Classes are subject to change and may include: Tea Ceremony, Flower Arrangement, Gardening, Recycle Art, Sign Language, Painting, Cooking, Drama, etc.

Parents Please Note:

1. A weekly reminder regarding school events will be sent on Fridays, either to your Email or as text or voice message.

2. Parents are strongly urged to participate in school activities throughout the school year including: Orientation, First Day of School Assembly, Parent/Teacher Conference, Chinese New Year Celebration, School-wide Humanity Class, Buddha-Bathing Ceremony (May), Last Day of School Assembly.

3. To ensure success in the forthcoming school year, WE WILL NEED YOUR HELP! Volunteer parental assist is needed before, during and after classes. We strongly urge parents to commit to 3 times of full school day as volunteer. Parents fill in the volunteering sign in form with conveniences date possible at registration.

1. Following documents are required:

o 2020-2021 Student Registration Form.

o Liability & Medical Release Form.

o Parent volunteering date Sign up Form.

o Tuition Fee: Cash or Check. Payable to Tzu Chi Academy. Please include student name and grade. (Tuition and extra curriculum fees $530.00, Registration fee for new students $30.00)

o Uniform Fee: Cash or Check. Payable Check to Tzu Chi Academy. (Summer $15.00, Winter $16.00, Tzu Chi backpack $26.00)

2. Register in person (Office hour: Sunday 09:00am~12:30pm)

 Please prepare specified documents as above and register at school registration office. If the contents or documents are incomplete, your registration forms will not be accepted.

¦ Returning students: 05/16/2020 (Registrations after 06/30/2020 will need to pay $30 registration fee as freshman.)

¦ New students: 05/30/2020。

 

3. Register by mail

 Please prepare specified documents as above. If the contents or documents are incomplete, your registration will not be accepted.

 Date of receipt: 05/24/2020 - 08/16/2020.

Refund Policy:

 Refund processing time may take 3~4 weeks. NO REFUND will be given for the $30.00 registration fee.

 Requests received before 08/23/2020 (1st Day): 100% refund after deducting $30.00 processing fee.

 Requests received before 09/27/2020 (6th Week): 75% refund after deducting $30.00 processing fee.

 Requests received before 12/20/2020 (1st Semester End): 40% refund after deducting $30.00 processing fee.

 NO REFUNDS after 12/20/2020.

 No refunds will be given for expelled students.

 Student truant for three times and above will automatically be expelled and no refunds will be given.

 A request for refund of tuition fees must be completed on the requisite application form and submitted not less than two weeks prior to the expected date of departure.
